Antique 9k Gold Red Faux Coral Branch Bakelite Pendant

A rare 1950s faux coral made of bakelite shaped as a coral branch and mounted on a 9k gold base with extra 9k gold caps on each end. No hallmark - acid tested positive as 9k god.

This unique pendant is made of bakelite - Bakelite is the first plastic made from synthetic components and was created around the 1910s.

Totally original and very unique.

In good vintage / used condition with some signs of age, to which in my opinion only add to its antique magic splendour. (Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear - Please refer to the images)

It measures approximately 3.1 cm (including the bail) by 1.4 cm and it weighs approximately 0.84 grams.

The charm is sold on its own. The chain on image 8 is just used as a reference.

All together an incredible piece of jewellery carrying much mystery and old tradition.
