It holds a large gold-tone ring from which five smaller charms hang: a carnelian heart, an agate figa, an agate horn, a cowrie shell and a fossil charm tooth. The hanging charms appear to be later additions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTraditionally worn as a protective amulet against bad luck, this is a wonderfully tactile and distinctive piece.
