Antique 14k Gold Carnelian Intaglio Signet Motto Ring

A stunning antique solid 14k gold intaglio ring.

Rare Victorian carnelian heraldic coat of arms ring with Motto:
“Faman Extedimus Factis” (to extend one’s fame by valiant deeds or We exceed our reputation by deeds)

Hallmarked with a crown and a 585 (that indicates that is 14k gold) and the letters KL stamped - acid tested positive as 14k gold.
It has the number 68 italic engraved (possibly representing 1868)

The face of the ring measures approximately 1.8 cm x 1.4 cm and the ring weighs approximately 4.7 grams.

Size US:4 UK:H - It's suitable for a small finger

In good antique/used condition with small signs of ageing on its surface - which in my opinion only adds to its extraordinary appeal. Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear. Please refer to images.
