Antique 16k Gold Conch Shell Figa, 16 ct Gold Figa Charm

Original antique late 1800s light pink hand charm.

This beautiful Mano Fico is mounted on an 16K gold embellished case, with a 16k gold bracelet around the wrist (no hallmark - acid-tested positive as 16k gold).

The hand pendant is carved on natural antique Conch Shell.

This Victorian charming figa pendant is in good antique/used condition with small signs of age, to which in my opinion only adds to its timeless mystery. Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear - please refer to the images for reference.

The figa measures approximately 5 cm long (including bail) by 1.4 cm wide.
It weighs approximately 8.3 grams.

The chain on image 7 is just used as a reference.

The Mano Figa was initially the symbol incanting fertility and later becoming a mighty lucky charm against bad luck. It was purchased, together with a group of other antique Mediterranean Angel Skin Coral and Conch Shell pendants, from an antique dealer in Italy.
