A beautiful antique black figa pendant, finely detailed with solid 18k gold accents.

The hand appears to be carved from jet or a similar black material. Its appearance is consistent with jet, a material traditionally used for jewellery and amulets during the late 19th century, although we cannot confirm the material with certainty.

The figa is mounted on an embellished 18k gold base and adorned with an 18k gold bracelet around the wrist and delicate 18k gold fingernails.
The gold elements are unmarked but have been acid-tested and test positive as 18k gold.

In good antique condition, with small signs of age and wear consistent with its history. Antique pieces are almost always pre-worn and will typically show some evidence of use. Please refer closely to the photographs, which form an important part of the description.

Measures approximately 4 cm long (including bail) by 1.1 cm wide and it weighs approximately 3.1 grams.

This Figa charm is exactly as it was originally acquired from a collector in France, together with a large group of other figas from the same period and assembled together in a charm necklace.
