Featuring here a splendid late Victorian bone fist pendant with 18k rose and yellow gold details.
The fist is mounted on an 18k rose gold cap, with an 18k rose gold chain bracelet around the wrist. The hand is grasping an 18k yellow gold bar with an 18k yellow gold small half sphere fob charm hanging from it. This little round charm is set with tiny colourful semi precious cabochon cut stones. This round fob is, in my opinion, a later addition to the hand charm. Nevertheless, the marriage between the hand and the fob is altogether lovely.
The fist charm is in good antique/used condition; with small signs of ageing to which in my opinion only add to its true aged splendour - such as the bone surface and the gold cap have small signs of age. Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear - Please refer to the images.
The hand pendant is exactly as it was originally acquired from a collector in Europe, together with a large group of other fist/figa hands.
All the 18k gold details (base, chain and charm) have no hallmark - acid-tested positive as 18k gold.
The pendant measures approximately 5 cm long by 1.7 cm wide.
And it weighs approximately 3.7 grams.
