A beautifully sweet and delicately carved antique Mediterranean coral figa, set in 18k gold.

Dating to the late 19th century, this miniature Victorian hand is wonderfully expressive despite its small scale. The coral has that rich, warm orange tone only natural Mediterranean coral possesses, softly mellowed by time. The gold mount frames it neatly, giving the piece a refined yet talismanic character.

Originally part of a Georgian/Victorian coral charm bracelet acquired in France, it carries both decorative charm and centuries-old symbolism. The figa, or mano fico, has long been worn as a powerful amulet against the evil eye and misfortune. Small, discreet, yet full of meaning.
