A magnificent late-Victorian figa hand pendant, finely carved from natural Mediterranean coral and mounted in solid 18k gold.
The hand, sculpted in the traditional fist form, symbolises protection and good fortune. It displays a rich salmon-orange hue typical of antique coral and is fitted with an engraved 18k gold cap and matching gold bangle, from which hangs a delicate miniature gold cross, a rare and meaningful detail.
Crafted in the late 19th century, this exquisite charm was believed to ward off the malocchio (evil eye) and attract luck. Its surface shows gentle wear and patina consistent with age, only enhancing its historic beauty and authenticity.

• Size: 3.5 cm × 0.9 cm (including bail)
