A striking and rather unusual example of early Victorian jewellery, this antique stick pin features a finely carved Mediterranean coral wild boar’s head, full of character and remarkable detail.

The coral has been beautifully sculpted to capture the animal’s distinctive features, from the gently curved snout to the small tusks and expressive eye. The carving has a lively, almost sculptural quality that reflects the skill of the artisan who shaped it. Natural coral of this rich, warm red and orange tones was highly prized in the 19th century, particularly for small carvings and figural jewelry.
