Antique French Gilt Metal Jewellery Box

A beautiful late 19th century early 20th century, gilt metal jewellery casket. It has a thick, bevelled glass lid, an original fabric inside and a delightful body metal casket, which sits on three feet.

Very collectable, this useful and pretty trinket box is ideal for keeping jewellery, stamps, coins, medals and any small objects of vertu.

The box might be French, but there are no markings to be sure.

It is in a good used antique condition having the usual age related wear, marks and minor defects to be expected from age and use, there is a very small damage on the very edge of one of the side glass (see image 6 for reference). All the other glass is in good condition. (Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear). Please refer to images for condition and further details.

It measures approximately 8.7 cm by 8.7 cm and  7.5 cm high.
