Antique Genuine 18k Coral Figa, Natural Coral Mano Fico, 1800s, Figa Charm

Antique genuine natural coral figa hand.

This adorable Victorian figa charm is carved on a natural mediterranean orange coral. It’s mounted on an embellished 18k gold case - no hallmark - acid tested positive as 18k gold.

The early figa charm has very nice miniature details and it’s in good antique/used condition with signs of ageing on its surface - which in my opinion only adds to its extraordinary appeal. The thumb is worn and the surface of the hand has an uneven aged/used natural quality to it, carrying indication of its age. Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear. Please refer to images.

Small in size, it measures approximately 2.9 cm (Including bail) by 0.6 cm and it weighs approximately 2 grams.

Acquired from an antique dealer in France as part of a Georgian/Victorian coral bracelet with Figas and other charms.

The figa hand is used for magical protection against the evil eye and other forms of bad luck. The figa is known across the world.
