Antique Italian Sterling Silver Miniature Thurible, Catholic Incense Burner, Ornate Religious Censer with Chains

An exquisite antique miniature thurible, crafted in Italian sterling silver and inspired by the traditional incense burners used during Catholic Mass.

Richly decorated with scrolling floral motifs, the censer features a pierced, conical lid, a rounded incense bowl and an elegant pedestal base. Three suspension chains support the burner, while a separate chain allows the lid to be raised, revealing the hollow interior.

A charming example of miniature religious silver work, with lovely detailing and a distinctive devotional character.

In good antique condition, with signs of age and use, including surface wear, scratches and areas of tarnish that contribute to its attractive patina.
