Exquisite antique 9k gold Scarab Beetle brooch.

This late Victorian/Edwardian piece features a genuine scarab beetle with lively bursts of green, intricately set in 9 ct gold filigree detailing and casing. It has a pair of small red pinkish stone eyes, possibly rubies.

Measuring approximately 3.9 cm by 2 cm and weighing around 2.3 grams, it was acquired in the UK from an antique dealer.

The brooch is in good antique/used condition; with small signs of ageing to which considering its over 100 years old, in my opinion, only adds to its timeless appeal. Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear - Please refer to the images.
