Antique Silver Pendant 1828 Bavarian Ludwig I Thaler 1828 Coin Pendant

An original antique silver coin depicting Ludwig I King of Bavaria - Germany
This coin circulated as a commemorative coin in 1825. "Blessing of Heaven on Royal Family"
Made into a beautiful antique pendant, it shows King Ludwig I on the front side with the following inscription, LUDWIG I KOENIG VON BAYERN, ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK
On the reverse are portraits of royals within circles surround crowned and a circle portrait at center and the inscription SEGEN DES HIMMELS
It measures approximately 3.8 cm and it weighs approximately 28.8 grams of Silver (.833)

*In 1828 the Royal Bavarian Mintcommission issued a bulletin to the King declaring the need to document certain historical events with the issuance of historical Thalers.  The early 19th century was heavy with historical awareness, particularly since Ludwig I had made Munich the center of cultural life of the new Bavaria.
