An original exotic 19th Century tooth pendant mounted on a 10K gold case and a 10k gold bail.
 
A marvellous charm dated back to the Victorian times.

Tooth jewellery were worn as charms against malevolent spirits and to instil courage in the wearer, it was particular popular during the British colonisation of India.



This antique charm is in good antique/used condition with signs of ageing on its surface - which in my opinion only adds to its extraordinary appeal. The tooth is a little worn and has an uneven aged/used natural quality to it, carrying indication of its age. Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear. The 10k gold details have no hallmark - acid tested positive as 10k gold

It measures approximately 4.5 cm by 1.4 cm and it weight approximately 1.47 grams.
