Antique Victorian Bone Figa Mano Fico Pendant, 18k Gold Mounted Hand Amulet, c.1800s Lucky Charm

A striking antique mano fico (figa) amulet dating to the late 1800s. 

The clenched fist is carefully carved in bone and mounted in an ornate 18k gold cap, richly embellished with delicate applied gold wirework (unhallmarked, acid-tested as 18k gold). The hand itself is further enhanced with tiny gold fingernails, a finely detailed gold bracelet encircling the wrist, and two small gold studs set at the side of the wrist, subtle details that add refinement and individuality to the piece (acid-tested as 14k gold). The bail is 9k gold (unhallmarked, acid-tested as 9k gold).

The surface shows honest wear consistent with age and long use, including light smoothing, small marks, and natural patina to the bone and gold mounts, all typical for antique talismanic jewellery and part of its authenticity and charm. Please refer to photographs for condition details.

The pendant measures approximately 5.4 cm including the bail, 1.3 cm at its widest point, and weighs approximately 4.6 grams. It wears beautifully as a pendant or sits equally well within a curated collection of antique amulets and symbolic jewellery.
