A striking antique Victorian coral figa pendant, carved from natural Mediterranean orange coral and finished with a 14k gold cap and a delicate gold bracelet detail around the wrist, a charming touch.
Traditionally worn as a personal talisman, the mano fico symbolises luck, fertility and protection against the evil eye, making pieces like this both jewellery and deeply personal amulets.
The carving retains a beautifully primitive character, softer and less formal than later commercial examples, giving the piece real authenticity. Gentle surface wear reflects age and long use, adding to its presence rather than detracting from it.
The gold elements are unhallmarked, common for small antique charms, and test as solid 14k gold.
Good antique/used condition with age-appropriate wear. Please refer to images
