An elegant pair of Georgian rose-cut diamond and natural pearl earrings, dating to the early 19th century (circa 1800–1830).
These beautifully crafted earrings feature the traditional Georgian combination of silver-fronted settings, enhancing the brilliance of the rose-cut diamonds, with high-carat yellow gold backs and ear wires (tested as approximately 18k gold). Each earring is centred with an irregular natural pearl and finished with a suspended pearl that moves gracefully within an open diamond-set frame.
The softly glowing pearls, hand-cut diamonds and beautifully aged precious metals combine to create a wonderfully romantic pair that embodies the elegance of the Georgian era.
They remain in good antique condition, displaying only light signs of age and wear consistent with over two centuries of careful use. Please refer to the photographs, which form an important part of the description.
