Victorian Carnelian Aristotles Intaglio Fob Seal, Antique Rolled Gold Fob Pendant, Stone Gold Filled Seal, 1800s Gold Cased Ornate Fob Cham

A nice antique Victorian rolled gold fob pendant, adorned with a carved carnelian intaglio depicting Aristotle. 

The openwork gold metal has an embellished design holding a the carnelian stone set into the base. 

In good antique/used condition with signs of age - such a as the stone has some light scratch related to age and use and the openwork gold metal is distressed  - to which in my opinion only adds to its true timeless beauty. Antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear - Please refer to the images.

The item weighs approx. 7.7 grams and it mesures approximately 2.6 x 2.3 x 1.6 cm

Aristotle was an Ancient Greek philosopher and polymath who made foundation contributions to various fields, including philosophy, science and ethics. He was often depicted in rings and fobs during the Georgian and Victorian times as a symbol of wisdom, intellect, classical education and enlightenment.
