A fascinating and highly unusual antique pendant featuring a genuine stag beetle mandible, beautifully mounted on an acid-tested 14k gold cap (unmarked).

Natural history objects such as beetle horns and mandibles have long been admired for their striking forms and were often worn as curious talismans.
