Another stunning 1950s religious Portuguese medal/pendant depicting the guardian Angel.
With fine enamel on two sides, the medal has a representation, on the front, of the guardian angel with a beautiful landscape on the background. On the back it has Guardian Angle written in Portuguese (Anjo da Guarda).
The medal is mounted on a 14k gold frame - no hallmark - acid tested positive as 14k gold.
In good vintage/used condition, with small signs of ageing, such as the enamel has a small crack on the lower part of the back to which on my view it only adds to its true aged mystery (see image 4) .
It measures approximately 3 cm (including bail) by 1.7 cm. It weighs approximately 2.25grams.
The chain on image 6 is just used as a reference.
This beautiful religious item has the age and the features of a pristine piece of jewellery. It was acquired in Portugal, together with a group of other medals, from an antique collector.
Kindly check my policies regarding returns, exchanges and shipping specifics. Making a purchase means you agree to these policies, so please familiarize yourself before you make your purchase.
