This unusual mid-century owl pendant, likely dating from the 1950s–1970s, is hand-carved from bone and adorned with delicate 14K gold spectacles with tiny red gemstone eyes (untested, possibly rubies).

With its expressive face, miniature glasses chain and charming feather details, it has the irresistible character of an absent-minded intellectual. Owl jewellery symbolises wisdom, intuition and protection, while the spectacles add a playful nod to curiosity and intellect.

Stamped 14K / 585 on the bail and acid tested to confirm 14K gold.
