Vintage 14k Gold Shell Fascinus Amulet Pendant, Rare Italian Phallic Protection Talisman, Roman Revival Phallus Fertility Luck Charm

This striking and rare vintage shell fascinus amulet is a captivating revival of ancient Roman traditions. Likely made in mid-20th-century Italy, the charm is finely carved from natural shell and features a classical winged phallus design. 

It weighs approximately 3.2 grams and measures 2.7 × 2.3 × 1 cm (including bail). 
The bail and ring have both tested positive as 14k gold (no visible hallmark).

It is in good vintage/used condition with some signs of ageing and use which in my opinion only add to its powerful beauty. Please refer to images.

It’s sold as it was acquired from an antique dealer in Italy as part of a group of vintage and antique amulets and talismans.
