A wonderfully sculptural Sputnik-inspired gemstone charm pendant dating from the golden age of Atomic Age design.

Crafted in solid 14k gold (unhallmarked but acid tested positive as 14k gold), this three-dimensional sphere is set with colourful faceted gemstones radiating from every angle, creating a wonderfully futuristic design. Popular during the Space Race era, Sputnik jewellery symbolised exploration, optimism and mankind’s fascination with the cosmos.

The gold displays a beautiful warm champagne hue, sitting somewhere between traditional yellow and rose gold.
