Marvellous dark green hand carved Jade depicting a Buddha face.
The stunning buddha face has long earlobes - To Buddhists, Buddha's long earlobes symbolise a conscious rejection of the material world in favor of spiritual enlightenment.
Mounted on a 18k gold frame with no hallmarked but acid tested positive as 18k gold. The solid gold setting work is midcentury and it's shown by the well crafted lines. It is a precious nephrite Jade pendant that was set on high karat gold to be added to a very precious 1950/60s charm necklace.
A good size amulet measuring approximately 4.5 cm (including bail) by 2.2 cm. It weighs approximately 7.6 grams.
In good vintage condition with small signs of age (vintage items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear). Please refer to images for condition and further details.
The chain on image 7 is just used as a reference.
The stunning charm pendant shows the head of a Buddha with the serene half-closed eyes of a Bodhisattva, a slight smile on his face as calm envelopes him as he meditates for peace and harmony.
