Vintage 18K Gold Miraculous Medal, Antique, Our Lady of Graces Pendant

A gorgeous double sided 18k gold Portuguese medal with an image of the blessed Mary radiant as a sunrise is depicted on the front. Rays shine forth from Mary's hands - symbolising the graces shed upon those who ask for them. The words “Ó Maria concebida sem pecado, rogai por nós que recorremos a vós” (O Mary, Conceived without Sin, Pray for Us Who Have Recourse to Thee).

On the other side a cross - Jesus' Cross of Redemption for Mankind, the letter "M" which Represents Mary, Twelve Stars - the Twelve Apostles, and Two Hearts the Left Heart being the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Right Heart  - The Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Circa 1950s, the medal is in good antique/used condition with some signs of time to which in my opinion only add to its timeless beauty (antique items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear). Please refer to images for condition and further details.

It measures approximately 2.5 cm long (including bail) by 1 cm wide and it weighs approximately 0.87 grams of gold.

No hallmarks - (acid tested positive as 18k gold).

The chain on image 8 is just used as a reference.

Symbolism:
Mother – Her open arms, the "recourse" believers have in her.
Mediatrix – Rays from her hands symbolising "graces".
