Vintage 9k Gold Bakelite Faux Tortoise Shell Figa Charm

A lovely vintage Bakelite (resin) fist pendant, mounted on a 9k gold embellished base with 9k nails, a bracelet and holding a key. No hallmark - acid tested positive as 9k gold.

A beautiful faux tortoise shell designed amulet/talisman.

The hand pendant has a tortoiseshell tone to it and is in good vintage/used condition with some small signs of age, such as the gold base is a little distressed - to which in my opinion only add to its vintage beauty. Vintage items are almost always pre-worn and will typically have some level of wear - Please refer to the images.

A very tactile 1950s piece of jewellery.

It measures approximately 3.6 cm long (including bail) by 1.3 cm wide and it weighs approximately 2 grams.

The chain on image 7 is just used as a reference.

Bakelite is the first plastic made from synthetic components and was created around the 1910s.
