Vintage 9k Gold Sputnik Charm Pendant, Estate Turquoise 9 ct Orb Charm, 1960s Ball Charm, Turquoise Pendant 3d Sphere Charm

A striking vintage 9k gold Sputnik orb charm, set throughout with vivid cabochon-cut turquoise stones in a wonderfully sculptural, celestial design.

Dating to the early 1960s, possibly circa 1963, this beautiful and characterful charm reflects the bold Space Age jewellery style of the period. It measures approximately 2.5 cm including the bail by 2 cm and weighs approximately 3.9 grams.

The charm is marked 375, S&W, possibly for Slade & Wolfe, together with what appears to be the letter “h”. It has also been acid tested positive as 9k gold.

The piece is in good vintage, pre-owned condition, with signs of age and use that are entirely consistent with an authentic jewel of this period. The gold shows light surface wear and small marks. In my opinion, these subtle traces of its past only add to the richness, texture and true vintage splendour of the piece.
