An unusual vintage figa pendant full of character and symbolism.

The carved bone fist is believed to be Victorian and is mounted with a gold-plated cap and bail. It holds a large gold-tone ring from which five smaller charms hang: a carnelian heart, an agate figa, an agate horn, a cowrie shell and a fossil charm tooth. The hanging charms appear to be later additions.

Traditionally worn as a protective amulet against bad luck, this is a wonderfully tactile and distinctive piece. It was acquired in Europe in a box with other antique hand charms and talismans.

The pendant is in good vintage condition, with marks, discolouration and wear consistent with its age and previous use. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
